This course will focus on the practical applications of ASC 815 as it specifically relates to interest rate exposures and hedging. Participants will be guided through in-depth analysis of effectiveness testing and measurement and final entries. We will include real cash flow hedge scenarios, discussing how effectiveness testing was approached, how data was secured, how effectiveness is measured and finally, how cash flow journal entries are prepared. This course is designed for accounting, external reporting, finance or treasury personnel at any level who need a thorough understanding of how ASC 815 cash flow hedge debits and credits wind their way through the company financial statements. This course is particularly useful for individuals preparing, reviewing or disclosing ASC 815 entries. Participants will need to bring a calculator and be prepared to work through entries.
