  • This webinar will begin by reviewing the current state of effectiveness testing and related documentation requirements under ASC 815 (formerly FAS 133). We will go over the FASB testing requirements and highlight our experiences with evolving testing requirements of audit firms. Using examples of interest rate swaps and caps, we will discuss the various approaches for assessing effectiveness, and review key sources of ineffectiveness that must be evaluated. Finally, we will discuss the recent disclosure requirements of ASC 815-10-55 (formerly FAS 161), in so far as it affects the reporting of effective and ineffective amounts.
